Good community pub with one L-shaped room around the bar and a small dining area. Stone-built building which dates back to 1830. Started life as a family-run pub and brewery called the Brewery Inn in about 1872 and continued to brew beer until 1923 when it was taken over by Melbourn Brothers. Became the Jolly Brewer in 1970. Darts, crib, dominoes and pool teams. Push penny is also played and the world championships are held here. Locally sourced food served every day and Sunday lunches being particularly popular. Six real ales always available plus cider and perry. Good range of single malts. Peterborough CAMRA Pub of the Year 2009 and 2017. Two beer festivals held each year.
